Dumpster Diving: Day 1

1. Some small pieces of really nice wood.
2. A working crisp and clear 19-21 inch flat screen CRT TV (NOT a flat panel) (no remote) (but the Video in and out work I tested DDR already) (my flat mate's universal remote worked on the tv and i could change channels, a/v, and volume....wooohoo)

Any requests?  I'm going to spend most of the week doing the runs at RIT.

I feel so LALALALALALA!!!

Today was an amazing day.  I was skeptical at first, however, it turned out to be one of the most amazing days of my life.  It started pretty lame, kinda bored, but Kathleen, Deb, and me talked a bit while the other people were playing software.  There were two teams, The Roaring Palm Trees and The Who Cares? teams.  The Palm Trees won by a long shot.

Just to make things short this is what happened:
    Went to Parma Park
    Met up with some people
Hung out at the Baseball Field.
Mostly talked with Deb and Kathleen
Talked with other people that were on the bench.
Played some kickball/hack.  Talked with people.
    Ate Pizza
    Played some more
Played on a playground with about 20 other people.
    Went to Steph Peter's house.
    Hung around a "campfire"
    Roasted marshmellows
    Made Smores
Sang worship songs around the "campfire"

Yeah. Big Joel was around too...it was cool.
Yeah.  I liked it.  Thank you everyone for making this day amazing.
I hope that I helped in making your day nicer too.  If I didn't, I'll try to do more next time.
Thank you God for this wonderful day.

I will whisper Your name and I will wake up happy.  This I know.
As I lay me down to sleep this I pray, That You will hold me dear.

Great my punctuation sucks.

As I lay me down to sleep, this I pray; that You will hold me dear.

I'm just hear thinging about God and my life and listening to calming music and winamp visualizations.
Ah, this time is spent well.  and I'm about to go to bed.

Wow, after hearing Sophie B Hawkins, the next song is Breakfast at Tiffany's.  Wow... mid to late 90's music.  When MTV actually played music videos.

Well, guess what happened to me this morning walking up the stairs to go sit on my laptop and read the news and then get ready for the day?

Well, I stumbled at the top of the stairs.  I was carrying a broken glass, and a yogurt in the other hand.  Somehow I could not land on my knees and landed head first in the wall.  I broke the wall.   Go me and my head.  I think I should go and see a doctor, maybe tomorrow about how my neck hurts.  I'm, trying not to move it much.  I also have a huge bump on my head too.   Yippie.   Life is so much fun.

So the hole in the wall is about 1.5 ft around.

Yeah.  I wonder what my flatmate/land lord will think.  Of course... I have all day tomorrow off except for the morning, so I think I can fix this and my neck tomorrow.

Oh well.  Life goes on, just thought to let y'all know.

I am trying to move most of my life off of the Windows operating system and more around Linux and Mac.

This is to help me stay away from games, and focus on what really matters.  I believe that this change and move to a free and open community will allow me to think and try to dive deeper into things that just do things half heartedly like windows does.

Yes Windows is good for gaming and almost everything is already done by someone, but still, linux will help me focus more I believe.....well after I try figuring everything out first.    There is sooo much more customization and just soo many features that it boggles the mind.  But once I get this stuff sorted out, the end result will be cool.

I have my media player, my internet, my office, powerpoint, image manipulation tool, my sudoku....what else do I need?

Can anyone think of things that I would need to use in everyday life, in school and work?
